What should I do pre treatment?
Avoid dental procedures 2 weeks before treatment. Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications, aspirin, ibuprofen, NSAIDS, vitamin E, and fish oil 3 days before treatment. Minimize sun exposure. Avoid consuming alcohol 2-3 days before treatment. Stay hydrated. Detailed pre-treatment instructions emailed following booking.
How long do lip fillers last?

Most manufacturers state that dermal fillers last up to 12 months; however, based on our experience, we find that 9 to 12 months is a more accurate estimate for lip fillers. The lips are highly dynamic, constantly moving with talking, smiling, and facial expressions, which can cause hyaluronic acid to break down more quickly compared to mid-face fillers. Additionally, metabolism, lifestyle, exercise, diet, and environmental factors can influence how long your results last.

Is there any downtime?
Downtime with lip fillers is minimal. You may experience mild swelling or bruising for a few days post-treatment, which typically resolves quickly. To minimize the risk of bruising, we recommend staying hydrated and avoiding alcohol or NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen and aspirin) before and after your appointment. Most patients resume their normal activities immediately after treatment.
Will my lips look natural?

Do lip fillers hurt?
We prioritize patient comfort during lip filler treatments by using a triple-compounded numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Additionally, we utilize smaller, back-filled syringes for a gentler experience. Our skilled injectors ensure a smooth process, and if you ever need a break, simply raise your hand! While the lips are a sensitive area, most patients describe the sensation as a mild pinch and find the treatment completely tolerable.
How soon can I get more filler in my lips?
At a minimum, we recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before receiving additional lip filler. This allows time for any swelling to subside and for the filler to fully settle, ensuring the most accurate assessment of your results. If you desire more volume or refinement, we can evaluate your results after this period and adjust accordingly to achieve your desired look.
What should I avoid post treatment lip filler?
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive salt for 24-48 hours to minimize swelling. No kissing, sucking, or straw use for the 2 weeks! We recommend very light pressure icing for 5 minutes every hour for swelling. No rubbing or touching your lips for 4-6 hours post treatment. Avoid dental procedures 2 weeks post treatment. Can I get a lip flip and lip filler?
Yes! You can get a lip flip and lip filler in the same appointment. The two treatments complement each other—lip filler adds volume and shape, while a lip flip (using Botox or Dysport) relaxes the upper lip muscle for a slightly more lifted appearance. During your consultation, we’ll assess your goals and recommend the best approach to achieve a natural, balanced look.
